What is the best road bike for under $350
I have always bought my bikes from Target/Wal-Mart and it's about time I bought a new bike. I would primarily use it to ride around campus. Any suggestions? I have been looking for a while now, but nothing has really stood out.
Thanks for any help!

It's $30 over your limit, but currently my pick in the budget category: https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...11_-1___202339
Might be a little much for just around campus. If you don't mind a singlespeed, there's some good entries around $200-300.

Just buy something used off Craigslist. Chances are decent that it will get stolen/vandalized at some point, anwyay.

I have to ask, but by 'road bike' do you mean something like a drop barred, racing inspired bike or just something that you have no intention of taking off road?

Depending on your area, craiglist can definitely be the way to go. I got a 2001 LeMond Nevada City in near mint condition for $300. It's a much better bike than anything you can get new for that budget.

When I hear "campus", I think of lots of stolen bikes. Any shiny bike, even a cheap one, will attract attention and may not last long. I recommend Craigslist for an older bike that's not shiny but is in good working condition.

Welcome to Bike Forums, Sharose!
IMHO you have two options:
1) Monitor your local craigslist for a nice used 1980's steel road bike. Make certain that you take someone with you who "knows bikes" when you go to test ride and pick up your CL bike. Of course, this usually requires much patience in order to get a really nice bike that's both reliable and comfortable, as well.
2) You can purchase this Wellington road bike online from bikesdirect.com

Good Luck!

(Watch this video as many times as you need in order to assemble your bike)
* The bike arrives 95% assembled already...
