4182 miles. Most of it was commuting, but it includes my first century ride and some weekend rides.

It does NOT include any trainer or exercise machine miles. My odometer reading was 3761. The total includes 421 miles of commuting when my HID was on (I know the distance of my several routes to work) and a few trips on my back up MTB when I commuted to a campus and didn't want to leave my Cross Check outside.

2,311 for 2004. I'm very pleased, considering I really started in April, only did 500 or so in '03 and essentially zip for 20+ years before that. Rode my 1st century this summer, too! Started commuting in May and have managed to keep commuting through December (it's been cold, but not cold and wet, yet).

Not sure what the commuting/recreational split is - I logged about 1500 miles on my road bike, almost all recreational, but that includes some trainer time. Balance was on my MTB/commuter (almost all commuting miles) and more recently, on my fixed gear (mostly commuting). I'd guess about 1,700 miles recreational, the balance commuting. 117 days total riding (April - Dec).

30 for 2005, and I can say I've ridden every day this year!

2,755 commuting miles - this does NOT include fun or club rides (I know - cycling is ALWAYS fun), just rides that actually replaced a car drive.

I did over 3200 miles (5149 kilometers) this year. I don't have a perfect count as my computer konked out on tour. My goal had been 3000 miles so, huzzah! I'd say 2000+ miles were commuting. My commute is pretty short (~11miles a day) but I did it year round. Next year I'll see if I can't make 4000 miles.

Slightly over 3100 miles (5122km).

Every single mile was fun riding including a few minor crashes.

Used to do a lot of riding back in my deep youth, I am 40 now, stayed at a beach in Lithuania with my beloved bride in July, rented bikes for both of us to have fun. Happened to come across a local LBS after coming back to business in early August and accidently acquired a new bike that became my commuting tool since. Got to learn much about the vicinities of our livinghood, met a bunch of nice people, even spoke to some loose dogs...

I sincerely hope the bike-bacteria multiplies itself as the new year spreads.

Happy riding everyone!

Personal note.
ks1q: CU on the air. Fun to meet Amateur Radio people on a bike-related forum. I am thinking about installing a portable HF radio on my bike. I'll keep my ears open for ks1q callsign. 73!

4171 Commuter miles. Exceeded my prior best year by about 700 miles.

Only missed 3.5 days all year and only the .5 was due to weather. It was Ironically suppose to be my last ride home of the year, but the snow was just too deep.

Just shy of 2000 miles. Working 2 jobs, each on the opposite side of the city, makes it a little tough. I commute 14 mi each way to my day job 2-3 days per week. Couple of great short tours. This year will probably be close to the same.

1220 - about 50% commuting.
Commuting miles really fell of while spending about 5 months out of country in frozen and trafficky Moscow with no chance of biking. Hope to be back in USA more this year.

2658 commuting miles here. I had a goal of 3000. Probably would have made it too except for a bunch of after work meetings late in the year that put me behind.

Not sure how many recreational miles I got in this past year. Probabaly a little over 1500.

K0CO:

Does Moscow seem to be too trafcicky bikewise? Sorry to hear you had no chance to ride. Aurora is way much better place to enjoy bicycle riding.

A couple of off-topic questions:

Is it possible we met back in 1991? Rich W0HEP, hosted my stay in Aurora. Thanks Rich, I even had a chance to operate Field Day from a van in some Denver park.

Do you operate your radio while riding your bike? I plan to do some 80 meter operation later this summer and may need an advice regarding antennas.

Did you happen to ride a bike in either Doha, Caracas, Ploiesti or Malabo?

KS1Q N7CZ K0CO LY2KW. Who else? I am amazed to see the smallness of our globe. That is really something! I think this thread is being read by non-hams, too. Sorry about the mixture of weird letter-figure combinations above.

Safe and happy riding everyone!

Nearly 4000 km since June 8 on my Giant OCR Touring bike. A couple of hundred more on the Kona Fire Mountain (commuter). I'm hoping to make 10,000 km or more on both in 2005!

2030 miles since installing the bike computer in early May. The goal for 2005 is 3000 miles. Most of it is commuting.
