They are RL520s designed to work with linear pull brakes. They are economical but of really good quality.
http://www.tektro.com/_english/01_pr...s&sort=2&fid=3 Sweet, thanks. I've got linear pull brakes and am contemplating levers like that to maybe do a drop-bar conversion. |
I really like that lock mount idea. Any more close-ups of it?

Great bike, have a good time with it.

+1,000 on the RL520's. I have a set of black ones in my garage right now, waiting the perfect frame for a touring build. Nashbar recently had their touring frame on super sale, but they are out of the 56cm and don't know when it will come in.
Also, very clever on the second bar. I never would've thought of that. |
Nice bike!! Now go ride it into the ground :thumb:

1. I couldn't afford an STI setup and I don't like bar end shifters. So I used a accessory mount to install an old handlebar. The shifters are mounted on this bar along with the headlight. This allows me to keep my hands on the brake levers while shifting. It isn't perfect, but it works.
2. I zip tied a small hollow tube to the rack. I slide the lock in and it holds it in place. It works surprisingly well. Interesting solution on your part. |
