Awesome commuting setup
Just wanted to share my commuting joy..
I recently took a new job in a new city. Right across the street from my new employer is a really excellent gym where my employer gets absolutely ridiculous monthly discounts, so signing up was a no brainer. My morning routine is to get up, brush, shave, throw on shorts and a t-shirt, and ride to the gym to cool off, shower, and put on my business attire. Then it is just a nice trip across the street where I take my bike *inside* to the bike rack that is located... *inside*. Behind magnetically sealed doors that require swiping an employee badge.. And there's CCTV cameras monitoring the access.. To my bike.. That is locked up.. *Inside*.
Guess where my bike is right now.. Yeah.. it is *inside*.

Nice! I don't have showers or access to a gym but I get to keep my bike right outside my office door 
At least for now, till we move to another office, then who knows. But if I manage to move out the city I'll stop riding to work anyway, I'll live 50-60 miles away and will need to take a train.

Yeah well, my office has its own shower *inside* and when my bike is here it's *inside* beside my desk

If you work in the city--the Chelsea Rec Center on 25th/9th..has pretty decent Gym facilities/showers/pool and the cost is approx. $75/6 months. During the summer time I basically shower there instead of home. And riding to work--assuming you don't work way way uptown, should be a breeze.

I guess mine is kind of *inside* being that it is in the enclosed stairwell of a parking structure with security cameras nearby.

One of my clinical assignments last semester was at a hospital with a bike cage inside one of the car parks. Covered, locked, and CCTV monitored. It's a nice feeling not going through the whole ritual of removing all over your gadgets several times a day.

I work at a Ford dealer and my boss 'force' me to park my bike 'inside' the drive-thru area, he says it give a 'green attitude' to the dealership. I won't complain and I can watch my bike all day long from my desk.

That's great. One of the incentives to take my latest gig was a gym/shower room which is a free amenity to all building tenants. I don't have inside bike parking, but the next best thing: a locked bike box in the attached parking structure.

My office is a desk in my bedroom, and my bikes are *inside* my garage about 20 steps away from my office.
Of course, this kind of precludes commuting to work, unless I take the long way, i.e. get up early, go for a ride, come back, take a shower, and start working. The downside is that I'm ALWAYS at work...

Awesome! So far I haven't needed a shower at work... cool enough on my 10 mile commute that I show up not sweaty. Park my bike in the 'hallway' between cube pods a few feet away. Several of us ride to work & we all keep our bikes at or near our desks. Outside parking is for bicycle-shaped objects.
I swap into shorts & t-shirt for my day as supervisor (barefoot unless I'm in the kitchen or washroom)
So not the best out there but WAY better than many.

That sounds like a great commute
I have a somewhat similar setup here. My commute is half residential and half industrial park, and since I work nights all of the roads are dead when I'm on my bike. At work I can park inside a garage where security has to authorize access, and the security office can watch my bike directly. If I do park outside, security has approx 16 cameras on that side of the building, and they do regular rounds inside and outside. There is also a nice shower setup at work, which seems pretty out of place considering the line of work I'm in, but as a cyclist I'm not complaining

Disclosure: last time I rode was in 1984 on a 10-speed bicycle-shaped-object so I'm not exactly an expert. On average during my 16km (10mile) each-way commute I use the brakes twice: when I hit an intersection where I turn left and when I stop. So basically they will last forever and I don't demand much from them.

You have every right to make us envious of this commute!
Everyone should have it this good. Think how healthy we'd be as a nation. Think of the money we'd save on health care, gasoline, parking and the reduction in air pollution. And think of all the fun people would be having and how much better they'd look and feel. It really is a no- brainer. Funny we don't just make it easier for people to commute by bike.
Well, while most of us spend the day looking like crumpled sweaty messes, worried about where we left our bikes you can feel good knowing we are living vicariously through you.

Our building has several showers and locker rooms, many of which are rarely used, almost abandoned. We also have a gym on site. Monthly membership is $5.
I park in an underground garage, guarded by officers and several security cameras. It requires an ID to enter or leave.
If I can't park it in my "office," then this is the next best thing.
