Also, wide slicks for rain. Go slower too, because you can slide on greasy sludge.

the grip of a good quality skinny tire is often far superior. imo, moving up to wider tires is totally overrated. if comfort is an issue just keep the skinnier tire and use a wider rim. i use 19 mm internal rims with 25 mm tires and love it. corner like you would not believe!
