Handsome Cycles

I have been trying to make my girlfriends bike, Giant Avail, actually useful and have finally given up. In searching for everything I want in a frame, I discovered Handsome Cycles She Devil https://handsomecycles.com/bicycles/she_devil.php. Any Handsome cyclists out there to share their thoughts and experiences with products from this company?

i havent owned one but ive seen quite a few of their frames around. the build and paint quality seems pretty decent. ive always thought campy 10 on a speedy devil would make a great commuter/touring bike.

Oh, okay. Yea not to far from Bloomington. I'm in Evansville all the time for work, and I enjoy it. Gotta love the river.

I'm sure you've already seen Soma and Rivendell's options for mixte style frames since you said you were researching. The Soma Buena Vista is a more traditional double top tube frame. It won't handle tires as large in 700c, but you could set her up with some 650b wheels (which have nice tire options in large sizing btw) if you are wanting bigger. Pricing is pretty similar to the Handsome Cycles frame. The Rivendell Betty Foy would probably be the pinnacle in production mixte frames. They are all made for 650b wheel size, but that should give her some nice fast cushy tires and a less compromised geometry (if she's on the shorter side). The pricing would be much higher though. At least from my experience with my wife, aesthetics would play a huge roll in deciding which frame to build on. If I were to buy/build my wife a bike right now, however, I would buy her a Globe Daily 1 Stepthrough and probably upgrade it to a Nuvinci 360 hub. The other very possible option for my wife would be to buy her a Brompton. She would love all of the color options, low step over, and luggage carrying possibilities.
