Sure, why not?

they are functional for sure. Solid and work great from what I have seen and the people I have talked with. Watch the video.

They do look fun. And they sure will add to your visibility.

I dunno. Sometimes, over the top efforts, which this is, irritates drivers and makes things worse. Just a thought from previous observations of it all.

good point but to be frank, they are annoyed we ride period.

For me, commuting is about survival!

I want to see a follow up post once they've actually used them.

It would be fun around Christmas time - I'd match the light displays on the houses on my route.

I just want the song from the video on my bike at all times!

I've been saving up for some monkeylectric lights, mainly because I want to run them on rainbow and really make it a d*ke bike. Maybe ride it at the local Pride festival.

Saw some of these on a bike here in China a few nights ago.

It was a bit strange, firstly because very few people, whether on ebikes or on bicycles use lights at night. And there are thousands of bikes on the street at night.

He wasnt on riding on the road, just playing around in a plaza.

I've been rollin' 'em for a couple of years now, and I really like them. They're super attention-getting, and I've had more people shout compliments, point, smile, and exclaim to friends how cool they are, than I can possibly count. I've not heard a negative comment yet.

As you can see in the pic below, I've got two of the original units (i.e. not the Minis) mounted on my rear wheel, and when riding, I can clearly see the illumination on the road to my sides. I've also followed behind my friend riding my bike, and even from that vantage point, one can see the flashing from some way off, so they're definitely, incontestably, a safety feature. They give nearly 360º coverage, the exception being that narrow range when viewing directly from behind the bike or directly ahead.

They have dual intensity brightness, and the brightest setting is intense, indeed.

Too bad they don't have a remote control or an auto start/stop feature, but aside from that, I've got little bad to say about them. I'd like to see the batteries hub mounted, and the LED boards narrower, but those are aesthetic considerations more than anything.

I've been running lithium batteries with great success.
