Abus Bordo Granit X-Plus 6500 lock impressions?
I'm getting a second lock for my bike as I'm moving to NYC where I want my bike to be as unattractive to thieves as possible. I currently have an OnGuard Bulldog U-lock, I normally use it with a cable. I want to get a second lock (some kind of very high security chain) which can secure my rear wheel and frame to a solid pole, and then use my U-lock to secure my front wheel (I also have pit locks but you can still ride away on a bike with pit locks, so more locks are still better!) I'm considering the Abus Bordo 6500 because it has the highest security rating they give but is only about 3 and a half pounds. Compare this to OnGuard and Kryptonite chains, which are ~10 pounds. I'm a little dubious that it is *that* high security though at that weight. If it is as secure as one of the uber-chains, it seems pretty ideal as it's very compact and very light. Does anyone have any impressions? Will it last as long as a forgettaboutit chain/beast chain?

Depends on the size of the grinder used..
BikeRadar did destructive testing of Locks, check out their results..
