I lost my cool for a second
On Friday I was riding home on the one stretch of road that I like the least. It is a 3 lane road in each direction with no bike lane. I have that section timed so that if I get stopped at the light prior to it then I can beat a light in the middle of the stretch so I usually haul ass there just to beat the light. I also take the lane.
So...I was hauling the mail and cars are switching lanes to pass me. Then some car decides to buzz me pretty close then just about cut me off. I yell, "F****r" and flip them off for a good while and since I was going so fast I as on their tail for a bit so I know they got a good glimpse in their mirror. They eventually pull away and get stopped at the light further ahead. I make the light I was trying to make and am now approaching the light they got stopped at where they now pull into the gas station. By this time I have already cooled down and am over it for the most part and I am thinking to myself, "They pulled in to avoid dealing with me." So I pull up to the corner, I filtered on the sidewalk which is legal, and I see the same car making a right turn now out of the gas station. I watch as the drivers pulls off. She then flips me off as she gets on her way. I now just chuckle because what's the point in being mad now.
I don't always lose my cool but when I do I prefer Dos Equis. Wait! Wrong line
I don't usually lose my cool and am not too proud of this one but I am glad I got over it so quickly and didn't let it haunt me for the rest of the ride.
I share the story hoping that if you get buzzed today you let it go and just be happy you aren't hurt.
Have a good day.

I got buzzed by a car but then got in front of them at the lights and made them wait.

It is good to have the ability to regain your composure quickly after getting pissed off at someone. None of this stuff makes any real difference in your life, unless you let it.

Yuppers! That is why I shared really. I know some people obsess on these kinds of things. Just had to show that it can be done to move on quickly and not dwell on it.
