A bike related tattoo.

I'm thinking about getting another tatoo and I tought about a bicycle related tatoo as I already have a scuba diving related one ( my other favorite activity). I'm looking for ideas. Do you have suggestions ( I guess you do, do you?) Something I can show to my 11 years old daughter without making her cry or having nightmare.

actually one of my favorite tattoos I've ever seen was a tattoo of a chainring on your inner calf on the right leg. About a 4th or so of the outside of the chainring fading into nothingness with the chain fading out just beyond the top of the chainring. . . It looks neat but I can't find the picture.

Actually, a permanent chainring tattoo would be the way I would go, if I were cool enough to get a tattoo.

Cuz I'm too cheap to be cool. I don't see the point to getting a tattoo, just a waste of money (to me).

Tattoos aren't so much my thing, but IF I were to get one, it would be Statler and Mortimer from the muppets on opposing shoulders, an Alfred E. Neuman, or:

Same here. I've seen variations on that theme, and I tend to think it's a good "cyclist" tattoo.

It just so happens that I designed a tattoo inspired logo for my new cycling blog Be Self Propelled

This link includes a photo of the classic tattoo that it was based upon: The Story of the Be Self Propelled Logo. Heck, I might even have to help you pay for it!

I express my originality by not getting a Tat.

do have some scars picked up over the decades, though..

I get chainring tatoos once in a while, but fortunately they come right off.
it's the ones where the pedal wrench slips , putting the chainring tooth, in,
as a puncture wound, I hate.

Get a gruesome tattoo of your calf muscle being torn apart as if the chain ring did it.

I have another reason: I don't understand tattoos.

I can't think of anything I like enough to permanently affix it to my body. After I got it, I know I'd think of a variation or improvement and be sorry I got the tattoo I did.

Only if you get it on a hairy place so you can shave where the mower is cutting. ;-)
