Fenders and Caliper Brakes
 

I'm in the process of putting together a winter bike. Here's my question.

Assume: eyelets for mounting and a chainstay bridge in the back, running 23 or 25mm tires, Campy Chorus 11 brake calipers -

What full coverage (or longer) fenders will fit under that brake caliper?

I've had good results with fitting Planet Bike, SKS, Zefal and Axiom fenders of the correct model with the right width on bikes with the appropriate tire clearance. ;)

I ordered some Planet Bike fenders from bikeisland.com and just got them in the mail yesterday. They look nice, only problem is that the screw for the rear fender is too long, and the screw for the front fender is too short. (they're different diameters, so I don't have them mixed up :p) Have to hit up Lowe's or someting to finally get em on.

Whatever you do, I suggest you go plastic. Honjo style looks great, but once you crease those babies, they're toast. Can't go wrong with an on-sale pair of planet bike fenders.

Both SKS and PlanetBike say their 35mm fenders should work find with 23mm tires, and possibly with 25mm tires. So I should be all set. Thanks!
