New bike light tester needed!

Hi guys,
We are looking for testers to test our newest Fenix bike lights. I guess there are maybe some Fenix flashlights users here too.
If you have any interest, please check: http://www.fenixlight.com/viewcnews.asp?id=59

This thread is posted in Consumer Feedback, Electronics & Lighting, and Commuting in hopes of reaching those who are most likely to use the lights.

this is spam. "testers" posting unsolicited reviews on websites would also be treated as spam and likely result in punitive action against the poster. I have plenty of lights and don't need to do their advertising.

It's a contest on the Fenix website. Other vendors have tested products via BikeForums before, asking that the testers provide reviews afterward.

actually send 6, so we can do drop, moisture, heat and cold tests as well.

I'd love to do it, but looking through the requirements to be a 'tester', I don't hit all of the bullet points. :(

Well, other than informal reviews on stuff here, I lack the requirement of having done a proper, formal review of anything. I'm also not that active on any other boards besides BF, and they want at least different 'outlets' to post your impressions.

I probably will. It'll be like playing the lotto without actually buying a ticket.

Same here.

I filled out the form.. didn't get any confirmation or anything so I don't know if it submitted. Looked like a decent light to test though.

There's very small text at the bottom when you submit that tells you. It's easy to miss.

LOL I'm thinking that even if you were sent six and none of them self destructed during the testing - by the time you were finished the testing and writing up and publishing the reviews (complete with photos of course) - you'd be lucky to be making minimum wage.

Personally I have enough people willing to pay good money - I'll pass.

So basically they want people to test a magicshine mfj808 light, hopefully the battery is better than the stock one and more like geoman's. It seems to be the same mount, size, shape and output.

I'll register, but dang that web link was hard to read with that wide font. Made my eyes hurt bad.

pallen 09-24-12 09:04 AM

Signed up. I have 2 Fenix flashlights and love them. Great news to see them working on a bike light!

Other manufacturers have collected BF members information. Promised a saddle for testing. Send out one e-mail, never to be heard from again. That was what, a year ago and still nothing back in all that time.

I got the saddle and so did others.
