Specialized Globe recall - bike recalls general
 

In case anyone commutes on one

I saw this first on a news site so I figured it was a big deal and people should be alerted. Then I went to the specialized web site to verify, and saw that there have been several recalls throughout the past few years. I went to some other manufacturers sites and they each had several recalls as well.

Bottom line - I had no idea. I guess if you have a new bike the dealer can find and alert you (though I don't know if they do this). If you didn't buy it from a dealer you should check the manufacturers web site from time to time since some of the recalls come out years after model was sold.

Have any of you ever been contacted from a dealer regarding a recall ?

FYI- BF has a dedicated sub-forum just for recalls...

Thanks. I've been visiting bike forums almost daily for years and never noticed it. Wonder what else I've been missing .............
