Saturday night we were at the beer tent of a local Octoberfest and while I was trying to figure out what I wanted one of the ladies behind the counter said that to me. It turns out I'd met her at work a few years ago and during the course of the conversation while at work we discovered I regularly rode past her house on my route. I'm not sure if I remembered seeing her while I rode, but she remembered me - and so did her neighbor who was also serving beer that night. I guess I must have made a good impression as I rode past.

The ladies were checking out your legs, no doubt!

Yep, checking out your gams for sure, you ought do the old "AHEM! My eyes are up HERE!" routine :)

Did you get a free beer?

I was with my girlfriend too! And she'd already bought the beer, so a different girl bought me my beer.

I was about to say, "Screw the beer, did you get her number!?"

I haven't really heard that comment (title thread) in 30+ years, since adult cyclists are far more common place in our city today.

So true. I've been struck by how many more bicyclist are peddling around my area today. Kinda nice.
