Mudguard recommendation
 

Rescued a Univega Maxima from the Swap Shop at the dump, has a couple of dents, in need of a bunch of tlc. Anyway, turning it into my winter commuter. Its got 27 x 1 3/8 knobbies & none of the fenders I have sitting around clear the tires. The fork is 40 mm wide. Looking for fenders that would fit, ideas?

Some older Schwinn fenders would fit. http://www.tompodcycles.com/ He usually has a few racks of them for a decent price.

There's a bike coop about 45 min from here, mtbikerinpa, that you just jolted back into my brain. Probably head down there with some bits to swap... Still willing to entertain other ideas.
