Lock question

Anyone have used or have any opinions on the ABUS Bordo lock? It is their most expensive one. $170 range.
Reviews online give it 3 stars but ABUS rates it 15 for their level of security.

Not sure exactly which one you mean.. I have one of their folding link locks.

It is in a pouch on a water-bottle boss..labeled ..Bordo X plus

And I also have one of their chain locks, some times I use both.
sometimes the chain lock wraps around stuff better..

IDK about Rating.. BikeRadar did destructive tests when they
reviewed locks, then say what it took to defeat the lock.

Other than buying 2 and seeing what it takes to destroy one yourself,
All ratings are opinions.. of strangers..

"We were able to pop one of the rivets out of the Bordo in just over 46 seconds"

For $170 get yourself a TiGr titanium lock which conveniently stows around your top-tube and weighs just 459g if you're counting.

Yea watch out for the guy with the 4 foot long crowbar up his trouser leg.

One advantage of using a couple different lock types,
is complicating the number of tools
that the miscreant needs to carry.

All you need is a cordless dremal and a heavy duty cutting disk. Most locks are weak.

If weight is not an issue look at the AXA Defender RL with a DPI chain that links to the lock. Best lock on the market IMO but might be too heavy for some (total 6lbs)
