Specialized Crossroads Sport vs GT ZuM?

Both of these are on sale at my local shop right now...for just a 5 mile commute, which one would be better?

Thanks!

I have always been a fan of the GT triple triangle, but I'd pick the Specialized if it were me. In fact i almost did, but then went with a full on MTB and street'd it up.

Take them both for a test spin. If there isn't a clear winner after that, choose the one with the better paint scheme.

Just got a specialized crossroads sport and love it. I use it for commuting and it has performed well. Now that it is fall I am riding in the dark and I love the fact that I don't have to be as careful watching for pavement transitions as you do with a road bike. And the shock on the seat post is great. I could feel the difference when I was trying saddles from different bikes that didn't have the shock.
