Helmet Light from flashlight

After a near incident this past week, I feel the need to add another light to my set up. For headlights I use the CREE LED flashlights from dealextreme and have found them very effective, but a little bulky to mount the same model to my helmet. Any one have a suggestion what flashlight is good for mounting on a helmet? How did you mount it?

No direct experience, but I've heard that the S-mini from Shiningbeam makes for great helmet light and the Zefal Doodad can be used to secure it to the helmet. I have used something like this (two of them to be safe) to mount my Trustfire to the helmet before.

cheap LED flashlight zip tied on, less than five bucks. I also have a little zefal headlight mounted on the visor of my helmet. This time of the year a have the flashlight on along with two lights mounted on the bike for the moring ride ,no traffic 4:30 AM, and all four for the 5:oo PM commute. The litte Zefal I put on flash mode, set-up works good.

I recently purchased that light. It is great and very bright.

However, I did get an email from the manufacturer they have "improved" the battery...of course a matter of weeks after I bought mine

Here's a link to the "improved" version:

I have the waterproof version, as well.

It's great for cycling - and to my somewhat surprise, it rocks for running at night too (I put the battery in a Camelbak.) Really, really nice.

Where do you put the battery pack when you use it as a helmet light?

i have that with the wide beam diffuser for my headlamp. It is very bright on high perhaps too bright for a helmet light unless you use medium or low.
