Finding a shower near work - NYC edition
I like to combine my road racing workouts with my commute to work. This was wonderful at my old job were we had a shower in the office. Unfortunately my new job does not have a shower. I'm considering paying for a gym membership but I'm suffering sticker shock.
I work at the intersection of broadway and houston in nyc. Any gym recommendations? Do you think any of the gyms would be willing to cut me a deal for shower only usage? thanks |
My recommendation if you have a place to change clothes at work:
Huggies wipe down. Save megabucks. |
If you don't mind biking up to 25th street between 8th and 9th avenue..the Chelsea Rec center is what I use..it's $150/yr..you can bike there, shower and take it easy heading back downtown.

FWIW,On my last long Bike tour after camping impromptu, I used the W.C. for a quick sponge bath.
with the Morning coffee/ brekkie stop. never had a suit and Tie job.. so maybe standards are higher then |

Yes there are many ways to take a quick shower. If none of that works, you can always resort to deodorant over offending parts.
