Popping the air out of my commuting potato chip bag tomorrow

Just wanted you guys to know

megalowmatt 02-14-13 06:02 PM

Take it easy and enjoy yourself.

hsh101 02-14-13 06:37 PM

Have fun and report back afterward!

DrakeSuperbus 02-14-13 06:41 PM

be gentle

caloso 02-14-13 07:28 PM

There has got to be a better way of putting that.

nelson249 02-14-13 07:31 PM

Rats. Double posted... I blame that lousy Bill Gates

nelson249 02-14-13 07:32 PM

Good on yer. Always practice safe cycling.

Have fun!

Wilfred Laurier 02-14-13 07:34 PM

awesome

give yourself plenty of time and take care of yourself

merkong 02-14-13 08:34 PM

Enjoy and don't be too hard on yourself. Many get discouraged if they pass on a day here and there. You'll ride when you ride. I'm full on in MN since the new year but I'm 6mi each way. I'll stretch it when the roads clear. Good luck!

DTG 02-14-13 09:21 PM

What are you riding and how far is your commute?

Don't forget to hold your bike afterwards.

jrickards 02-15-13 07:20 AM

Pity you didn't post this on Feb 13 so that the virgin ride would occur on Valentines Day!

droy45 02-15-13 07:28 AM

Alright! another new commuter. I wish there were more around here. Its fun when you see others commuting too. Sometimes I feel like the weird one commuting in cold weather and everyone is looking at me like I'm a strange one. Enjoy and take it easy.

jrickards 02-15-13 08:03 AM

The other day, I finally met the person (guy) who was leaving bike tracks in the snow ahead of me. We were going in opposite directions so we couldn't commute in tandem. Kind of hard to tell under a bike helmet and ski goggles but he looked young (20s, I'm 52).

wobbooze 02-15-13 05:38 PM

hehe thanks guys

I ride a bad boy 9

the commute is 3.6 miles each way, its pretty laid back, just a couple of turns here and there

I have come to realize that i'm going to need a rack and trunk bag so that i can bring my gallons of water to work without relying on my car

WOOOOOOO!!!! Your life changes, your perceptions change, your senses open up, and all your friends begin to wish they were you. Great decision, and keep us updated!

wobbooze 02-15-13 10:45 PM

the town that I work in has a water radiation issue. I stay away from it

Terry66 02-15-13 11:50 PM

How do you like the Bad Boy? They have a BB9 in my LBS that I've been eyeing....like I need another bike.

wobbooze 02-17-13 02:08 PM

It's amazing dude I can't stay off it

ThermionicScott 02-17-13 02:32 PM

Thread title changed to be PG-13. :)

Welcome to the fun of commuting! Yep, racks and bags certainly make things easier. Radioactive water? Do the squirrels and rabbits glow in the dark? Sure would make the commute easier if they did!

most of my work revolves around ensuring the drinking water downstream is not radioactive
i guess know who should be looking for someone with my skillset should i get laid off

wobbooze 02-19-13 09:12 PM

The districts water tower is conveniently located in the middle of smoke stack central
