Enjoy and don't be too hard on yourself. Many get discouraged if they pass on a day here and there. You'll ride when you ride. I'm full on in MN since the new year but I'm 6mi each way. I'll stretch it when the roads clear. Good luck!

Alright! another new commuter. I wish there were more around here. Its fun when you see others commuting too. Sometimes I feel like the weird one commuting in cold weather and everyone is looking at me like I'm a strange one. Enjoy and take it easy.

The other day, I finally met the person (guy) who was leaving bike tracks in the snow ahead of me. We were going in opposite directions so we couldn't commute in tandem. Kind of hard to tell under a bike helmet and ski goggles but he looked young (20s, I'm 52).

the commute is 3.6 miles each way, its pretty laid back, just a couple of turns here and there

I have come to realize that i'm going to need a rack and trunk bag so that i can bring my gallons of water to work without relying on my car
