How often do you pump up your tires

A few questions:

1. How often do you pump up your tires?
2. What size tires do you have?
3. How many miles per week do you ride?

1. Before every ride.
2. I have something like 13 bikes so tire size varies depending on what I'm riding.
3. Varies. Sometimes zero, sometimes up to 340ish.

A question for you:

1. What are you getting at?

I finger squeeze the tires before each day of riding. If a tire has lost more the 10% of its max pressure, I pump it up.

1. My tires seem to hold air very well. I usually don't pump them up more than every couple of weeks.
2. I've got 700x28c on both of my bikes, with presta valves.
3. I usually ride between 120-150 miles per week at present.

I check my tires every time I ride

my 2 road bikes with presta valves need air every other day there 700 x 25

my touring bike and my mountain bike with 26 x 2.15 need air about every 7/9 days they have schrader valves

I ride about 100 miles a week between the 4 bikes

I read somewhere that tires typically lose 2-3 PSI a day. I might let them go three or even four days sometimes, but at that point you are looking at having lost about 10 PSI, which might not be a big deal depending on what size tires you are running, but as a Clyde, I feel like if they aren't pumped up close to the max they are slowing me down.

Skinny tires same as above every day.

How often do you pump up your tires

Commuting - Couple of times a week
Depends on season:
28mm Gatorskins 8 bar =116 psi,
28mm Conti City Contacts 7 bar = 102 psi,
35mm Schwalbe Winter Marathons 6 bar = 87 psi
50-100 miles/week

Touring - Every morning after coffee
28mm Gator Hardshells 7 bar = 102 psi
300-500 miles/week (50-100 miles/day)

Agreed, skinny, high pressure tend to loose a higher percentage of their volume, day to day. When I am running them 80-110, every day.

Squeeze the fat ones before every ride. Inspect them and pressure them about once a week.

Also, I keep my bikes in a dedicated bike barn type setup. Dry but not climate controlled. Tires loose a lot more pressure in the winter due to temperature fluctuations. The pressures don't seem to vary as much in the spring/summer.
