My bike fell on his left side

The wind was going nuts and blew it over and it fell on its left side, did I do any damage other than scuffing the handlebar and saddle a bit?

=(

Probably totaled. Bring it in for a complete disassembly, x-ray all parts for fractures, replace any parts that are even slightly worn or scuffed. Do not ride your bike to the shop. Wheel it there, but be really careful. Better yet, carry it on your back before someone gets hurt.

+1

If you continue to ride the bike, chances are if you hit a slight bump, the bottom bracket will ignite from the damage causing a chain reaction that will cause the center section of the bike to explode and badly burn your legs.

lol

Left side? There's not much over there, just the crank and pedal, and the handlebars. I wouldn't think twice about continuing to ride it.

Mine has fallen on to its left side quite a few times for any number of reasons. Unless you feel something a miss (vibrations that weren't there before) or hearing new creaking noises... it should be fine.

My bike falling is like dropping buttered bread, ALWAYS on the right side, no matter what. Then again, I've landed a few on the top side before too...

Whenever mine falls over, I push it over on the opposite side just to keep things equal.

That depends on if it has any carbon fiber on it.

Just falling over from the parked position you should be just fine. Maybe a scratch on the handlebar end but who doesn't have one of those already anyway. If it would have fallen on the right hand side, I would just check the derailer to make sure the hanger didn't get bent or cracked. Try it out and if it still shifts fine through all the gears, its fine. Other than that, I can't think of anything that would get damaged just from that.

I have fallen while stopped and clipped in, a total of 3 times now since I started using SPD pedals. Every single time it's been towards the right side. My leg has always broken the fall and as such no damage to the bike except maybe slight scuff on the handle bar end, and the pedals were already old and scuffed up anyway. Having it fall while I wasn't on the bike would be a different story, if on the right side. But on the left side, I doubt there's any problem since the handle bar and pedal is going to keep anything else from touching the ground.

My bike doesn't have a kickstand, so I push it over daily. It builds characters, and my bike is finally learning to stand up for itself.

That's all good and fine, but what do think is better, link to the past, or ocarina of time?

Were you carrying any bananas in a left side pannier? If so, check for bruising...

You wrecked it. Without a doubt. Run to your LBS and hand the owner a blank check. Tell him BF sent you.

I don't know . . . it's kind of a toss-up for me. They're so different in style and strategy. Link to the Past is my favorite and second is the original, and third is always whichever one I'm playing at the current time. Whenever I want to go fishing though, I pull out Twilight Princess. Highlight of that game.
