Helmet

Helmet light w/ flashing rear lights on helmet

cat eye rear light on rack

A planet bike front light on handlebar and a second one made by...who knows? But it's bright, too.

shower's yellow jacket with reflectorized striping

Reflectorized side wall tires.

An incredibell.

My cell phone, which, when I'm riding, I think of as safety equipment.

Me too. I think this pretty much covers it for practical purposes. Except that I like my little bell for MUP riding.

Light and Motion Urban 550 commuter front and rear lights, + an extra cheapo blinky underneath the rear L&M tail light.

Lately, been riding with two other guys on the way in, so we have 3 light and motion urban series headlights, and a total of 4 tail lights (mix of L&M, planet bike, etc... super bright)

Needless to say, cars stay pretty clear of us. We kinda ride in a triangle (like the mighty ducks), so that the array of blinkies confuses people, and they approach cautiously.

Lights, reflectors, helmet, bomb proof tires with tire liners, situational awareness, bright clothing, cell phone and whatever else....

Safety gear? None, just as one should. Just your basic head light a tail light driven by generator. Then a simple bell for pedestrians. The way bicycling was for nearly 100 years.
