Looking for a pair of good shoes for the warmer months.
I got a pair a couple years ago rather, Heavy .. I note a Graphic suggesting the new one offers a Wider Width,
(Or is that is 'With' as in see the look with your stonewash denims)
If so..
That is a Change, I got mine 2nd hand from someone that was not a narrow, B width, like Me.
Got some regular 'SPuD less' ones from Freddy's for $20, I like better.. for the 2 fortnight 'summer'..

i have version I, which are similar but a little narrower. they are my goto shoe in the summer. the only minor problem is that they tend to loosen up a little when mashing. prior to using these spd sandals i would routinely experience foot pain when riding with sandals.

Love them for spring/summer/early fall cycling in austin. The are great because I don't need socks and I can get them wet w/ no worries.
Criticism is that they are heavy, but that is true of all Keens, not just their cycling shoes.
Also, these are one of the few cycling shoes that run true to size. I normally go up a 1/2 or a whole size w/ most brands of cycling shoe. Be careful sizing up w/ keens. They run pretty true to size and have a ginormous toe box.

If they are like the earlier versions they have a too flexible footbed. But if they fixed that I may want to try them again:

i looked at the new version IIIs at rei but did not like how the spud plate is now offset on the left side of the shoe. imo, this can result in torsional stress.

I had the Nashbar cheapos, and they were OK but they didn't last long.
I now have some SPD sandals made by Shimano. I haven't started using them yet, but they've been well rated.
Keen makes some nice shoes, so I'd bet you'd like those. You give up a little pedaling efficiency, but so what. You can wear them all day, and you can clip in. It's a nice combination.

The Keen SPD compatible sandals (the originals I tried at REI in 2009) were significantly more flexible than these above noted Shimano sandals/shoes.

I have both the Shimano and the Keen sandals and far prefer the Keens. I find them more comfortable, both on and off the bike, and they are plenty stiff enough for a shortish commute. I have pretty wide feet, so I particularly like the toe box.
I will admit that the tan lines from the Keens are even odder than those from the Shimanos.
