How long do you guys wait after you've eaten breakfast before you go?
I keep waking up late, so I just eat and go pretty much right after, but that almost always leaves me feeling funny on the ride in.
Not eating was worse, I wasn't paying as much attention and felt like I've got no legs...

I eat about 30 minutes before I leave. Enough time to finish the paper, brush my teeth, use the toilet, and pack up the bike.

I can usually get up and start rolling right away and feel great.
Have found that my low carb, nearly wheat free diet has also helped give me more punch at the start of the day and usually do not start to feel hungry until later in the morning... this stems from having more stable blood sugar.
I make (no bake) homemade power bars with oats, honey, and almonds which are good for an instant burst of energy and this does well to kick start the engine... half a bar is about 150 calories. My kids love these and usually have one of these for breakfast... they are not as keen on oatmeal and don't like nuts but when they are combined into a power bar they love them.
I make larger batches and keep them in the fridge so if one is running late or needs a quick pick me up they are always at hand.

I don't wait, but it's 15-20 minutes between a granola bar and cup of coffee before I'm rolling. On long rides, I'll eat underway with no ill effects.

I usually get up, pack up, kit up and ride but lately (this week) I have enjoyed a scoop of Peanut butter, honey and some raisins thrown in before I head out. I usually eat a clif bar at work after I get there.

20 minutes or so. I have been eating a lot more eggs since having a consultation with a dietician and my PCP, so my usual breakfast now is two eggs and coffee. It's easy to digest, satiating, and gives me a lot of energy for the calories.

I'm usually chewing as I click into the pedals... I drink coffee on the way here... It's hot here in the PanHandle of Florida, but I seem to have a stomach of steel.
I usually don't have to stop on the way to visit facilities, but sometimes I do that too on the way

I have to eat before I ride else I have no energy, but I typically wait about 30 minutes, just long enough to empty my bowels, make my on ride drink, get my clothes on, and check the tire pressure.

I just drink some water and then eat at work. My commute takes from 30-45 minutes depending on route.

I hate to rush and always allow enough lead time to eat and go to the bathroom, then I'm fueled and empty and ready to go nutz. 55-65 min of pure exhilaration. at work I down a liquid protein shake in juice. I've had morning commutes so fast I was surprised the tires didn't burst into flames. do yourself a favor and wake up early.

I don't eat any breakfast before my ride, I just have a large mug of strong black coffee. Then after my ride when I arrive at work I have a homemade protein smoothie.

I ride a train, so it is a good fifty minutes to an hour before I get on the bike. Even if I am starting are really early morning ride, I will eat something light before the ride and never had a problem. A typical pre ride snack is 100-150 cal's like a Nature Valley Granola bar, or half a pack of Belvita. You might want to avoid riding after the three egg omelet with toast, hash browns and bacon from Denny's though.

I sometimes eat right before I leave, sometimes I eat at work. Depends on how much of a hurry I'm in. Sometimes on days like today that are busy right off the bat, I bring something for breakfast, but then completely forget to eat it. Probably not good to skip breakfast, but its weird how when I ride, my appetite is a lot less. On a day I drive to work, if I skipped breakfast my stomach would be screaming at me. Intuition says it should be the opposite.

I get sick if I eat before I ride, unless I wait an hour or so. I ride first then eat maybe half an hour later after I've cooled down and had a shower.
When I'm trying to lose weight I just eat once in the evening. I get up, ride to work, work, ride home then eat.
