no motor?

I'm not sure how many years I've had it, but it's probably been about 5. Each trip seems to involve banging it into something as I walk the bike in and out at either end of the trip, but it didn't break until last night. I had figured it would have broken a long time ago, but something happened yesterday that finally finished it off.

Last week I was thinking about getting another bike, but realized a new bike wouldn't change the things I'd like to change about my commutes - the bike path is still going to be bumpy, I'm still going to have to wait for traffic and the dog walkers will still want to keep left - and there wasn't anything I could buy that would change that. I also realized I had at least one of everything I needed too, and that there really wasn't anything left to buy that I didn't have. I got a replacement mirror for Christmas and figured it would only be a matter of time before I needed it, so now that I've put that on I guess it's time to buy another backup for when this one goes.

Mine keeps taking a beating, too. I've only had it a few months, so, based on your experience, I guess I've got some time before it actually breaks.

Good mirrors, you can buy just the mirror if you wanted. The company sells replacement parts. I have the mirror on my commuter with trekking bars and my road bike with drop bars - work great on both.

no motor?

I was surprised to find the part that connected the handlebars and the part that holds the mirror finally broke. I was expecting the mirror itself to break, but that's not what happened.
