I like that. I can do those tricks....ok, only some of them....ok, none of them. I'm proud when I can chew gum and walk at the same time.

It looked to my very casual eye like schwalbe tires, so not necessarily cheap parts!

Not if they're made like a proper city bike.

In Germany, the make them all non-standard sizes so people don't steal them but they still have high quality parts and are still less than €1000 to get on the street and they don't require parking stations so they're cheap to run and move around and now my sentence is over.

Sorry, but why don't they buy their own bikes to show what tricks they are capable of? It's not what these bikes are for. They should pay extra $$ to abuse the bike-share bikes that way.

Honestly, if I bike share can't take that kind of thrashing it's not going to last long enough to be cost-viable anyway.

Kenda Kwests. They're identical to our CaBi bikes except for the color.

I was impressed that he was doing those stunts on a bike that outweighs my Big Dummy.

Its a fun video. I don't think the beating a very good rider like the guy in the video is doing is any worse than a heavy casual rider that goes off curbs and the like with their full weight on the bike at all times. If I was the bike company I would welcome the publicity.

What is that in the rear rack area? Some kind of spoiler to keep traction for the awesome German downhills? Or is it really some kind of rack system?

it's a super-useful rack. see the holes at the edges and the two bungee cords with hooks at the front ... you can tie anything down

also super useful for a second person without the cords.

In the hub. It's a roller(drum) brake.
