Help me pick one of these backpacks.....
 

So, got tons of mess bags, now I need a backpack. I will not be riding too much with this, more of a need for a cool backpack for my laptop and books and nicknacks, than anything else. And yea, i guess looks is part of it this time.
I really like the style of the Mission workshop rambler and sanction. But then, I wanted the red one and found out they were a small limited batch, and went to the apple store recently and found the Crumpler cut of horror, which i also like alot.
I thought the Crumpler was a bit girly for my taste, but i kind of like the simplicity of the bag with just two straps, very minimal, and I love the cool factor of the Mission workshop bags.
So, just wondering what you guys think of these bags, and am I missing any other bags like this that i don't know about yet before i purchase a bag? What are your thoughts and opinions? I appreciate any and all feedback about these and this type of bag. Thanks.

Check out Osprey's Portal series. They're made for iPads, but they're aesthetically simple and you'd have many options for size and style. Flap top or sipper, and which size? Not as "bohemian" as the others you listed though.

Definitely check out the Osprey bags before you buy another. I've got three sizes for commuting, mtbing and hiking. Really well designed and they stay comfortably but firmly affixed to your back while you're riding. Intelligently designed with lots of well-thought out features like the Lid Lock (for long uphill climbs on hot days), lanyard, soft phone pocket, etc.

I second (third?) the Osprey backpack suggestions. I just recently bought an Osprey Flare backpack and opted for it over others because it is:

1) very lightweight and water-resistant.
2) It has a compartment for a laptop and fits my 15" Retina MBP perfectly.
3) The main compartment has plenty of space for books etc...
4) I got the "juicy orange" colour because it would be the most visible in dark conditions.
5) It has looped zipper pulls which make it easy to open even while wearing gloves.

Chrome makes some great backpacks but Mission is the way to go.

I have a Mission workshop VX sanction and an Osprey Ozone daypack. I use the MW for a fairly long commute and the Osprey at work (large site). The MW is probably overkill for what you want, though I really like mine. The Ozone is very nice and accommodates a 13" Macbook air nicely, though it could fit a larger 13" laptop.
