These are the real deal, reasonably light, very grippy and they won't scar up your shin or calf. Plus they are identical on each side so you don't have to flip the pedal to get to the proper side. I love them.

You know, what makes pedals "BMX"? Aren't they just a form of platform pedal?

Actual BMX pedals have a 1/2" spindle,which won't fit normal bikes which use 9/16". There are however many 9/16" pedals that are 'BMX style';basically,they have pins on the contact surface.
