Commuting over water
 

This isn't likely to set a trend, but looks like a fun thing to do anyway - bike across water, collapse boat and continue biking on land :)

Nah, a flat would just give you a good opportunity to train for that Alcatraz swim.

Somebody on this forum described a multi-modal commute where he had a boat secured by a river. He rode to the river, left his bike and rowed over, had another bike on that side, and continued to work. I don't remember why theft was not an issue.
