When I punch in my weight with gear it tells me to inflate my front tire to 64psi @ 23mm... I put 110-120 in my front, nearly double. I guess I prefer shooting rocks @ people over flatting out. ;) I like my tires hard on my road bikes.

On my commuter/gravel grinder I inflate to somewhere in between what the sidewall says.

Hmm, you weigh about 160 lbs, including the bike? ;) Do whatever works!

Alot of these calcs and charts don't take into consideration that manufacturers make tires of the same size for different functions. I was in a nice flame war with another poster who claimed Specialized was stupid for making a 28mm tire with a range of 115-125psi on the sidewall. I run them at 115fr/120r on my Defy and they work great. They give me road tire performance but with extra width.

291 miles a week sounds like too many waking hours spent cycling, to me, regardless of whether or not you can manage it.

The e-bike aside... for the same $5800 you can buy a nice new 250cc motorbike or scooter and get to work in half an hour, and it will have the range. Or a used one and all the gas it will ever need.

Drop the pressure to 80/90 for a week and see if you can tell a difference. Read up on suspension losses and experiment, I think you'll find a "comfort zone" at much lower pressures. http://janheine.wordpress.com/2012/0...ension-losses/
