My 100th Post! In just 10 short years.

I don't know that this belongs in the commuting forum, but this is the forum I frequently lurk in. So, after only 10 years as a Bikeforums member, I've already hit the 100 post count. Soon, I'll be catching up to the forum leaders. In fact, I estimate I'll match the post count of SixtyFiver in the year . . . . 4513 A.D. Good thing cycling promotes longevity - I'm going to need it.

OK, I suppose I should make this MORE commuting related. How do you folks have the energy to post after all that riding??!! This particular winter is really a challenge. Managed to ride all four (working) days this week, 96 miles total, and over 9 HOURS of riding. Things are a little bit slow for me on the roads and MUPs of the Twin Cities. The only thing keeping me awake right now is my Blue Moon sampler pack.

But hey, I really enjoy this forum, it is always interesting. Thanks to all of you with post counts higher than mine. Bikeforums needs to come up with a system to rank the "lurkers" - we are many!

As for posting... I have a chip that has been implanted in my head so I can post things in my sleep or while I am riding.

Congrats!

I ask a lot of dumb questions and say a lot of useful stuff, so I'm approaching 600 in 1.25 years.

You're a man of few words. As a man of not so few, I salute you.

BTW- semi-retired and short 1/2hr bicycle commute.

As I'm typing post 101, the wife say "What are you doing? You're obsessed with that bike forum!" Maybe I won't catch Sixty Fiver after all . .

I would say you and I are on the same pace but one's post count excludes a number of forums like politics and religion, foo, and the secret forums.

I stay away from P&R because living in New York, I don't have to go looking for confrontation and acrimony. And have no idea how to get to passed those "you can't go there messages" though I don't know if I really want to, except when the OP appears then disappears.

I don't know how to get past those messages either. I'm always worried the NSA will be watching or something. Oh . . . I guess they are.

From 10 posts per year, to 5 posts per day. Impressive.

I took typing pass / fail. . . . on manual typewriters. Barely passed. Not quite used to these new fangled electric keyboards yet either.

Ha, way back when, and I started getting into computers, I noticed that a lot of males were typing with one finger.. Since, computers were going to be my field, I said, I didn't want to be one of those one finger types. So, taking college courses, it was smart for me to take half hard credits, and half easy credits. I would take a typing class along with my other college credits.. I end up not being burned out, and chicks were getting me to type their papers!!
