Wow and Ithought my 26 rt commute was long.... I'm a beginner compaired to you guys. I need to find a longer route to work:thumb:

No, I use hotronix footwarmers. A bit pricey but the reviews are good and I can speak to their comfort at temps far below 30 degree F

You would think, but I have a hard time not taking the shortest route possible.

How many 40 mile commuters have we got?
 

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm always cutting it to the last second in the mornings. Summer months I'm lucky to have a lovely forest loop I can add an extra five miles on my way home.
Sometimes I do in the mornings too... but this darn waking up early in the morning lark! ;)

my goal is twice per week; Friday and Saturday.

I've only done it a few times, but my commute is 22 miles one way. New road construction has shortened it to 18.5, but I've yet to bike it in this year.

too much for me. I have a 22miles 1-way that I just can't seem to do during the week. I was spoiled by years of 13 miles 1-way sprints
