I think they'll be fun even if they make some sound. |
just rode them in.
silent ... no louder than rubber of tires on the road can confirm that ass is dry :) |
Putting fenders on a track bicycle ought to carry a mandatory minimum sentence. Just saying.

I agree, however a bike with fender eyelets, water bottle bosses, and drilled for brakes/cable guides is hardly a track bike.
I do think that the bike has some shortcomings ... but for the money, it's quite nice. |
I think it'd look better with more conventional aero drop bar levers. And a more, eh, muted color scheme.
|
Oh naughty naughty.. this is gonna slow down you're hitting the desired ratios don't you know? :P

wow ... these mudguards are super silent ... shockingly silent :D
|
I had a set on my Cannondale- hey work great. My wife has them on her Madone 4.7 too. The Lynskey has proper eyelets, so I went with SKS Longboards.
One thing to watch for is those little knurled nuts coming loose. I hit them with a coat of clear nail polish after losing one. |
Were you riding with no fenders at all? Even with my big stainless steel fenders, my legs can get mucked up when I go halfway fast on the dirt/gravel sections of my commute.

And I was told that Mudguards are very unfashionable in England and that I should just ask for a towel to sit on at the pub! by my colleagues when they saw them today  |

British winter training bikes , you slowly are re creating that , 50 years late. & in less subtile colors..
One of my friends/shop manager in the 80s, had a Mercian .. made as such .. rear opening dropout with a mud guard mounting hole (dropout outline cut to have abundant room for the hole.) rear bridge & fork clearance for a side pull brake, and mudguard eyelet on the front. |
