Portland Concrete

Today we had a rather rare phenomenon, Portland Cement. It gets its name because the snow has the consistency of wet concrete, hence its name. We only had about a quarter inch but riding through it was nearly impossible. Has anyone ever tried to ride through really thick or heavy wet snow?

it's actually Portland cement http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portland_cement

Portland cement was developed from natural cements made in Britain in the early part of the nineteenth century, and its name is derived from its similarity to Portland stone, a type of building stone that was quarried on the Isle of Portland in Dorset, England.[SUP][1][/SUP]
and as you see A place on the other side of the Atlantic.

Concrete is as old as the Roman Empire..

we had 2 weeks of snow on the ground and a month between those 1 weeks.
