How about "Leaning forward", "Leaning over", "Forward lean" as alternative words for "Hunched over"? As long as you understand the posture referenced (the position in a cycling race), may I have your kindness to vote? I'm hunched over to bow to you for showing your kindness.

Both my bikes are road bikes so I spend the majority of my commute hunched over the the hooks or drops and sometimes the hoods. Only rarely do I go straight without braking or shifting long enough to make sitting upright on the top an option.

maybe the real question is: where do you have your handlebars in relation to your seat? I answered "hunched over" but my bars are about the same height as my seat so maybe I am more "upright"?

all handle bars on my bikes, whether flat or drop, are several inches lower than my saddle, so i choose "hunched over", but yeah, that's a bad term.
i just find that position more comfortable for my lower back.

As I commute in a big city I like the view in the upright position. I can see traffic and potholes better. John

I'm pretty much always on the hoods.
