Aside from the fact that frame tubing varies in diameter and shape and just looking at one of the images from that product info, I'm inclined to think it would be a waste of money.

I got this..
Amazon.com : Axiom Fastflash DLX Universal Handlebar Mirror: Super Convex : Bike Mirrors : Sports & Outdoors

..and I am really happy, thus far. Granted, I haven't ridden with it on a really rough road. Hopefully, it'll hold up just fine.

Looks like it would give a nice view of your knee.

I have one of those. I reviewed it on Amazon. There are currently 17 4- and 5-star reviews and 13 below 3-star reviews. If that indicates anything, it's that opinions are mixed. Some of the 5-star reviews are so glowingly positive, however, they raise my suspicions. Mine sits in a box, replaced by a Mountain Mirrycle, which has 883 4- and 5-star reviews and 109 below 3-star reviews. While I'm not advocating being a lemming, that should also tell you something.

I gave the mirror 2 stars. Won't work with anything on the back. The photo no1mad posted is photoshopped marketing material. The real-life image is nowhere near as clear; you can't really get a good, solid look at what's behind you.

"I'm not a fan. YMMV."

Exactly. The only time it would give a clear view would be if there was no rider lol - -
