Adding KLICKfix Handlebar Adapter to a Rear Rack

Hi Folks,

On days that I don't need to carry a bunch of gear to work, a simple handlebar bag is plenty big enough. (The Ortlieb Barista is a perfect fit for my MacBook Air.) However, I don't want to mount the bag on the handlebars (where I have lights and such) but would rather mount it on my rear rack. Rixen and Kaul appear to make several different handlebar adapters, but none look like a great fit for attaching to a rear rack. Does anyone have any experience attaching a KLICKfix handlebar bag to a rear rack? I'd want to mount it on the side of the rack and not the top.

Thanks in advance,

Stephen

Why try to reinvent the wheel? Ortlieb makes all kinds of bags for racks that are similar to the Barista. The Biker QL3, for example is only slightly larger and mounts directly.

Alternatively, you could get the Barista and get the parts for readapting it for a rack but that's more expensive and difficult to do.

Just don't care for the City Biker.

KF uses the handlebar mount to be adapted to behind the seat post [I own one] Not the rear rack ..

Rixen & Kaul, KLICKfix Adaptersysteme Fahrradzubehör, Solingen, Taschen, Körbe, Werkzeug
Extender with Handlebar Adapter
(for seat posts) (0211XSET) RRP (for Germany) 28,95€

This bag with the QL3 mount is made to go on the side of the rear rack
