Tires FTW.

For what? 23s are not very good when doing technical downhills over rough rocks.
3 inch wide knobbies are not that fast on the track. |
Fat or thin - not so much. I prefer my tires to be tall, athletic, sexy, and to look good from behind. :thumb:

For commuting? I'd opt for at least 25mm. I used to run 32mm and now run 28mm @ 85psi. It all depends on what your streets are like.

Why choose? You have two wheels; use one of each!

Tires rock! Get some! |
The important thing is to wear a helmet and use one of those chain washer things.

This may be the least helpful thread I've seen on the commuting forum. Did it get moved here from the road forum?
Anyway, wide. |
This poll is an epic fail. Not even buttons for voting.:(

Black tires.

wide is not the opposite of thin.

Huh?
thick/thin the question is ridiculous. I could have a thin 50-559 tire (the "rubber" road-going surface is thin) and a thick 23-622 tire (the surface is very thick as in a Marathon or Conti tire). |
thin is in
