How to carry a wheel while on a bike ...

It seems quite easy to carry a wheel in hand while riding a bike. That's a real commuter.

A&S would love this cyclist as they even have a helmet on.

Just watch out for the tanks.

On a serious note, Enve makes a backpack that can carry a spare wheel, and Chrome has the Sherman, which is discontinued it seems.

I use a multi-sport helmet that, besides the regular vent holes, has a central hole smack dab in the top.........I could imagine bolting a wheel there if I used a neck brace.

Don't risk injury like that. Think about being in a crash, perhaps one caused by an unexpected collision of your wheel and something that you would normally simply ride past.

I've never tried it, but I would wear a hiking backpack with lots of external attachment points and find some way to tie/zip/bungee the wheel to the backpack.

Depending on the distance I zip tie them to my ortlieb back pack or ghost a bike.

I would attach it to the rear rack in whatever way made most sense?
