Fenders are still considered accessories by Breezer, not as part of the bike.

A machine that works well will usually look pretty too. The market is getting too mature and competitive than to make excuses for anything less.

While I don't know (or even necessarily care about) what Breezer thinks, I agree the fenders should fit better, and the only reason the fenders don't look good is from carelessness with the bike prep for the photo shoot. I'd be willing to bet that adjustments could be made at the stays to get uniform radius. I doubt there's anything about the fenders or the bike that makes it necessary they fit as they do in the pics.

it's not a big deal to me though, and definitely not a sale stopper!

The thing that bothers me about Breezer is that they always look like a collection of independently sourced parts, rather than one integrated vehicle.

That's funny, because it's the exact opposite to me; I appreciate the "imdependently sourced parts" look better than the "company brand" look because it suggests to me the bike setup was curated, with parts selected for their appropriateness to that given bike rather than just slapped on because it's what the company makes and it matches.

Sure, bike companies can make good accessories, but the odds that a Breezer brand fender is better than one made by a fender specialist, for example, is pretty low I think, and in most cases, the bike companies are simply rebranding, not actually manufacturing, mwhich leaves open the question of whether the manufacturer would sell off their very best stuff for rebranding, or keep some good stuff back for their own brand or maybe a bigger client?

I dunno...maybe I'm jaundiced by the garbage bits that big firms like Trek, Giant, and Specialized slapped their names on just for the sake of branding.

There are lots of variable factors in bike spec, but in my mind, brand diversity of parts augers well for the quality of the spec.

Yes, the fenders are highly adjustable, both height off tire and laterally. There is a screw in the mounts that when loosened allow for adjustment. There is a good 3/4 inch play there so you can get them symmetrical & whatever.

I just want them to block road goo, so i don't really care about the adjusting. :P
