Suggestion for Saddle for Commuter?
 

Hi all,
I've been having a bit of trouble lately. My crappy saddle has been given me saddle sores, even though I ride less than 5 miles each way. I ride a road bike to work in the summer and a mountain bike in the winter. Lately I've been wearing a pair of lightweight biking shorts with thin padding and they've worked a bit, but it's really annoying to have to get changed twice a day. And bike shorts are quite... tight... (I know I've being lazy, but there really isn't a good place to change at work.)

Anyway, one of my main problems is that I have extremely thin sit bones. I measured myself at a bike shop and it measured between 95-100 mm. (Yes, I measured myself correctly.) So I'd be looking for a seat around 120mm. However, from research I've found that seats that skinny don't really exist. I've seen ONE 125mm seat.

Really I just want a softer seat. I had previously had problems with my soft tissue, but I was sitting incorrectly on the seat. Now that doesn't bother me at all.

Also, I don't want to spend a ton of money. I don't need a $200 saddle on my $500 bike. If you guys have any suggestions I'd be glad to hear them!

EDIT: Or even suggestions for where I can look. Places that allow you to sort by width maybe? Fat seats don't work for me.

EDIT2: Just for the record, I've been riding for 2 years straight, not much for many of you, but plenty of time for me to mess around with the angle, height, position, etc. I think this saddle is just extremely cheap.

EDIT3: Unfortunately, my local bike shops only carry $150-$200 racing seats that are essentially plastic sheets. Anything that isn't one of those is a huge "comfort" seat.

EDIT4: The bike is a quite "aggressive" bike, meaning I'm leaning forward a good bit. However, I find it quite comfortable, as I'm quite flexible. I'm actually less comfortable on bikes that are more straight up. If I had to guess (without looking), I'd say that the handlebars are pretty level with the saddle.

Suggestion for Saddle for Commuter?
 

I love The Selle Italia XO Genuine Gel saddle both for commuting and touring. I don't wear cycle shorts.

I'm a big fan of the WTB Speed V saddle. But, every butt is different.

I was honestly debating buying the Brooks England Swift on sale, but it's 154mm wide. I think that'd be much too wide for me. :(

Just what is was going to suggest!

I tried a lot of saddles with no satisfying results, saddles from 10$ on EBay to a 130$ hightech comfort saddle.
I bought a charge spoon saddle 2-3 months ago and rode about 3000 kms on it since and it's very comfy,
As it is low priced I'm thinking about buying 2 more for my other road bikes.

I have the WTB Rocket V on my commuter and it is very comfortable. However, everyone is different.

You could go with a Brooks Narrow saddle. And there is nothing wrong putting a nice saddle on a $500 bike...once I get some money aside I am going for a Brooks that even at wholesale will cost more than my $100 commuter. I'm not worried about it getting stolen - my bike comes into the office with me and when at home lives in my garage. Besides, hardly anyone knows what a Brooks is (other than cyclists) in my little (red)neck of the woods
