Do you dance on your bike?
Yes, dance, groove to a tune, audible or not?
I do, and it definitely is fun, especially on a good day not biting your face off with cold. :) - Andy |
Maybe. I definitely have songs playing in my mind during rides, and I pedal in time to the beat. Mostly Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - :)
Sort of a dance, I guess |
Lol! I guess I have my moments. I'm more popping & locking kind of guy tho. :thumb:

Never.
Just never fits with my rides. When I'm commuting, I need to hear cars. On fun rides, I'm alone and working too hard to enjoy music, chatting with my ride buddy, or drafting in a group. |

No. I don't even listen to music on my commute anymore.
|
I don't listen to music when riding my bike. Ear phones and music is an unnecessary distraction which I don't need.
|
I often write songs in my head while riding.
Here's one I wrote a while back while riding: www.toddejones.com/songs/UrineTrouble.mp3 |
When my wife and I are biking through one of the state parks and there's salsa music playing, I inevitably burst into a dance atop my pedals.
|
No, I do not.
|
I do not dance on my bike but there I times I feel my bike definitely dances. I also sing either in my head or aloud when riding so I provide my own music.
|
When I'm listening to music on the daily MUP commute I regularly play air drums. It makes riding with no hands more challenging.

No music but in my mind. Sometimes air guitar, usually Van Halen on a downhill.
|
Yes, of course. Usually flamenco, sometimes I'll throw in a waltz.

i dont dance period and definitely not on my bike. i am like the old ipod commericals. I am dancing on the inside.
seriously i dont listen to music while riding. |
I sing along loudly, when no one is around. I have fantasies of rocking out on the bike with wheelies and stoppies and 360s, but so far, none of this has happened.
|
You guys are a riot. :D
I honestly find it very difficult to ride without music playing. It does not hamper my ability to hear or impede my situational awareness...... in fact, it seems to enhance my awareness. The times when there are lots of traffic & people, i can feel people looking at me, i'm not sure if it's seething anger, or some other emotion, though...... ;) - Andy |
When I saw the subject of this message, I wondered if you were referring to what announcers have called the style of riding that Alberto Contador uses when climbing, it really does look like dancing and it is amazing to watch him. No, I can't dance like him. I also don't listen to music or radio while riding, I get distracted enough by what I see and hear around me already, I can't risk any further distractions.
|
Nope. I never listen to music while I am riding and I'm usually trying to recover from the last hill so no dancing. I am pretty much in the moment when I ride and never seem to find myself getting bored.
|
I mean, when i put my biking playlist on, it really helps me "get in the zone". I find myself "dancing" if i'm feeling the tune at the moment. I guess i'm alone in this... :D

When I have a nice tailwind my feet dance to the voom voom voom voom sound of my drivetrain. It's a glorious thing.
