Tiagra Flatbar shifters?

I had a chance to check these out at my LBS on one of the hybrid bikes. The shifting is SO smooth!

Anyone using this on commuters? Thinking about swapping my 105 brifters and drop bars for jones loop bars and the tiagra flat bar shifters on my jake the snake.

I thought about them, but the product description said that they were compatible with Shimano MTN stuff. I didn't check into it. I didn't really like the gear indicator windows so I just put some bar ends on Paul Thumbies. Same result. Works great.

I'm lusting for a jones loop h-bar for my fat bike. Like Gregjones said my first choice would be Paul's thumbies and bar ends for sure, then maybe grips shift second.

the sl-4600 tiagra flat bar road shifters replace the 10-speed sl-r770 ultegra-level and r440 9-speed tiagra-level shifters. the r770s are higher quality, lighter, and much spiffier looking:

i bought a few r770 mechs off e-bay since they work fine without an indicator or with an indicator from any older shifter.

it's kind of annoying that shimano has not upgraded their flat bar shifter to 11-speed. although i guess the alfine di2 shifters are compatible with road di2 drive trains...
