Salsashark comes from a scene in "Clerks" where Randal is playing with his food, swimming a tortilla chip pointy side up in some salsa, thus creating a salsa shark. I had a friend in high school who always called me by this name, as a play on my actual last name. Been using it as a handle for various things for the last 20 years!

My real name is Christoffer and where I live it's normal to be called Stoffer (pronounced stuffer in english, like the fetish :)). An old friend of mine saw the similarities with the word 'tougher' and thought it did fit me well, for some odd reason.

My name is also Christopher, I have no middle name. In 3rd grade we played a game where we tried to guess one kids middle name, if you got it right then the class would try to guess your middle name. I guessed right one time and the teacher asked me to whisper in her ear what my middle name is I told her "topher" she got a pretty good laugh out of that.
Lo and behold now 25 or so years later there's a movie star named Topher Grace. |
Finally finished the whole thread, what a lot of great, creative names (megalowmatt, I haven't watched a ton of King of the Hill, but I always remember Mega-Lo Mart, hilarious!)
My name is Reuben (always hated it, wish I could go back in time and tell my kid self "you can choose a nickname of BEN, dumbass!"), and when I was playing video games in the 80s I guess I thought I was pretty Rad. I remember playing Jumpman and Beachhead on my (paper-route-money-bought) Commodoore 64, but I don't remember how any video game had a high-score board that allowed any more than 3 initials! And the picture is me and my wife. When we were in Maui, we took one of those tours where a guy drives a van loaded with tourists and bikes to the top of the Haleakala volcano, and then you coast down for a few hours. At one point we stopped where there was a nice ocean view and the tour guide snapped pictures for everybody. |
Obscure Dillinger Escape Plan track reference.

My initials (Scott P. IV) + onious. It's been my online persona for quite a long time.

The name refers to one of my favorite songs, as well as the culture and style of dressing that sort of sprung up because of that band that I've been apart of (Though whether or not the 'youth' part is going to apply much longer is debatable) The avatar is Tommy Carrol, singer of Straight Ahead. For a bit, it was Jules, the dude who sang for Side By Side.
I use this all over the internet, though sometimes adding 69 as the end for the Trojan Skins/Trad Skins (Spirit of 69) and the X in the middle comes from a lyric from Carry On ("The hardest kids still put an x by their name") |
Is a screen name I came up with back in the aol messenger days, it was the first set of letters I typed that didn't require a number after them and it's just kinda stuck ever since. I think I've only ever found one website where it was in use and I suspect my self signing up drunk and forgetting.

Loky was the name of my old dog. He was a mutt, supposedly part Norwegian Elkhound, hence Loky, for the Norse god of mischief. I spelled it with a "Y" because I thought it looked better. He was born in November of 1979, so, "1179".
Here is a photo of Loky & me about 01-1980, and another one 30+ years later. I think the dog has aged better than I have. I'm planning on taking another photo in about 30 more years, but that one might be a little more challenging, because at that point, I expect there may be two little boxes sitting on the couch. http://www.bikeforums.net/attachment...p;d=1417912711 http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=421506 |
I totally lack imagination, so it's who I am and where I am.
