High Mileage Bike

I put on 5,400K a year on my commuter bike a year. Is that average or lot compare to most commuters?

Is that 5400 miles, or 5400 km? Some people put on more, but that's still a respectable amount.

Is that five thousand four hundred or is our five million four hundred thousand? Also is it kilometers or miles?

I probably did about five thousand kilometers this year.

Im going to assume that is 5400 kilometers and I think that is a very respectable amount for a commuter. It's not extreme, but like anything it depends on your frame of reference. To a non rider it's off the hook crazy extreme. To a daily rider it's respectable. To a pro racer it's nothing.

Sorry, it's 5,400 miles per year. I ride 5-6 days a week. Mostly to work but shopping/other trips can be add up to 100+ miles per week.

That's quite respectable! (If that were a norm across our society, we, as a country, would look very different. So would our health issues.)

That is a pretty solid amount of mileage for sure, it is not unheard of to hear of people riding 10,000 miles a year or so but the majority of cyclists I have met are between the 1,000-2,000 mile a year range.

That averages out to about 20km per day for a 50-week work year. That's quite decent. Not sure why it matters. Great for you for doing it though.

5,000 miles per year is not unusual for car light or car-free cyclists.

My last commute was 20 miles a day round trip, or about 5,200 miles a year. The commute before that was about 1,500 miles a year or 6 miles round trip.
