I ended up buying the Ortlieb Back Roller Classics.

I'm really happy, they are perfect for what I need.

Thanks for all the input!

Biking around Minneapolis these days, it feels like Banjo Brothers has the market here cornered-- it's almost all you see. I've used banjo brothers waterproof panniers for three years, and I've been perfectly happy. They're really roomy and durable, and they only cost $50 each.

Been using the Back Rollers daily for some months now.

Great buy, love them.

Pros:
- truly waterproof
- Solid build
- fast to mount/dismount
- the rolling top allows to regulate their size
- together with the Tubus Cargo they don't rattle even offroad, as long as they have a little weight within

Cons:
- not really that practical to open/close on the move, but this is a design feature, not a defect
- internal pocket is a bad joke, should have more internal storage options
- an external pocket wouldn't hurt
- Ortlieb are probably the last guys in the world who didn't figured that a black interior makes it impossible to see what's inside.

I got these Thule ones and I'm happy with them. I can balance the load between both of them or just use one. Since they are a discontinued model, it's almost 2 for the price of one.

I'm glad you are happy with them. I guess I should remember to check date stamps before replying.
