Electra Loft - The Updated Raleigh Sports For The 21st Century

This a 7 speed IGH version of the classic utility bike known as the Raleigh Sports. Electra calls it the Loft.

Its minimal design combined with pure function - as a city and commuter bike should be.

Civia offers a nice bike in a similar price range: Civia Cycles Twin City Step Through 5 Speed.

it also comes in a seven speed with an integrated front rack.

This bike has grabbed my attention I love the looks of the nickel plated version I like the uncluttered look of the single speed , coaster brake bike .. Our local park got a couple this year as rentals so for $9 I could do test ride over the place I ride most often. I can see one of these in the herd after todays ride

OP, you do know that there are a lot of IGH city bikes out there, right? Linus, Public, Bikesdirect's Oxford, etc. I don't see why this particular bike is any more an updated Raleigh Sports than those are. Is this post an ad or something?

The rack looks kimda awkwardly placed. Not my favorite of the new school city bikes. Public, Brooklyn Bicyckes and Linus are much prettier.

The rack seems really basic (lacking lower pannier mounts and from what I can see, a light mount) and its a shame the 7i doesn't have a Gates belt.
