I would think riding solo is pretty safe.
Plus being fit helps your immune system.
Group rides might be questionable if there is a lot of snot-rocketing from riders EW!

Maybe it's just me, but I found this quote hilarious.

According to Google, 1.25 million people die from road fatalities every year worldwide. That's just over 3400 each day and nobody of any age group or health is immune. There are no precautions. People have been killed by drivers smashing into their houses.
How many has coronavirus claimed so far?

Common cold, flu, people can die from those. Even if they don't kill you, they can kill others. The human condition is nothing but risk. Mitigate the risk as much as you can, yet risk will always be there looking for that one little crack in your armor, or armor of others.
Me, I'm glad I work in the desert, away from vast numbers of other humans. And my smallish town is way too close to a much larger city. A city I have need to visit but once a week. But, I have to, and have to interact with other humans... Ugh. Other humans.

Really? If you're healthy enough to ride, Coronavirus is of little risk to you. Being out in the open on a solo ride provides no risk of infection and getting sunlight produces vitamin D, which in some studies makes you less susceptible to effects of pneumonia. Ride on.

Riding the Greek Isles...
I imagine that you are more at risk of getting hit by a car than you are of catching any virus... my 2 cents...

I think its safe unless someone spits, sneezes, or coughs on you. A good resting ***** face should help too.

This sort of nonsense is the reason I do not bother with this forum very often. In case you don't know what nonsense I am referring to it's AdkMtnMonster's total BS response to a real honest question.

I went out for a ride this morning. Got some cash from the credit union, dropped off library book, made a nice loop and then sat in the park to write this message. Getting warmer, maybe 55F. In this beautiful morning I’m not worried about this virus thing.

It too early to give advices or make prediction about coronavirus... We are still learning new sides of COVID-19 every day...

Corona-virus notwithstanding, I think riding is as safe - or unsafe, as usual.
In other words, the virus is not nearly so worrisome to me as the distracted texters and others reading the news about it as they whiz past me on the road.

Seriously? You're riding a bike not sitting on a jet.

Riding and coronavirus are like " get wetter if you run through rain?".
Old question: "do you stay drier if you run fast through the rain?" Is similar to: does a bicyelist encounter more or less coronavirus from going fast through x number of people?

Agreed that actually riding by yourself is highly unlikely to result in exposure, but it's a question of group events and pit stops where this question becomes a bit more difficult.

My challenge yesterday was feeling the need to brush away the bugs that kept getting in my eyes using the back of my gloves... the same back of my gloves I use on things like door levers...
In the last miles one got embedded enough to disturb that inevitable mix of dried sweat and face gunk and it was a blinky experience to the end.
Might just have to start riding with goggles, actually had some with me but never pulled them out.
